Over the past few weeks, Krueger has demonstrated exceptional commitment and ownership in preparing for success. He’s been practicing with consistency — setting clear goals, staying focused, and engaging deeply with each task.
His approach has been both thoughtful and focused. Whether working independently or during MAP intervention sessions with Ms. Di, he shows a strong sense of responsibility and pride in his learning.
Krueger’s positive mindset and determination have kept him motivated, even when faced with challenges. He’s not just preparing for a test — he’s developing lifelong learning habits that will support him well beyond his time at OSG.
We’re incredibly proud of the effort and growth Krueger has shown these past weeks. Keep up the amazing work — your dedication is truly inspiring!
On the final day of Term 2, our students proudly showcased their International Culture Day stalls, bringing vibrant energy and rich diversity to our campus. The displays were outstanding, and the delicious array of food was a true highlight. Congratulations to everyone involved—your commitment and enthusiasm made this year’s Culture Day a resounding success!

Year 7 & 8 students have had an exciting start to the term. For the first time, all three Assignments have been rolled out on their Canvas page. This means students can now independently access the Assignment, Lesson, and Study tabs.
Planning their study is now more effective, as 'must-do' activities are easy to find, and learning can be revisited through the Lesson tab to reinforce understanding. This development has contributed to a very successful first few weeks back at Gisborne Campus, with the Learning to Learn framework truly in action.
The Year 3 - 6 classes have started our singing lessons on Tuesday afternoons. We begin with vocal warm-ups. We feel a bit silly doing them, but they're fun. The songs we are singing this term all relate to 'friends'. Some of the songs are new to us, but others we already know. We hope we will get to sing for you at some stage soon (when we're a bit more polished).
¡Hola familias!
Guess what? Our Year 5–6 students now know 58 Spanish words—and no, “taco” isn’t one of them (yet)!
Since conquering the alphabet like language-learning superheroes, they’ve been on a mission to grow their Spanish vocab day by day. And now, we’ve set ourselves a bold challenge: 100 words by the end of the month!
It’s been a mix of laughter, learning, and lots of “¿Cómo se dice...?” moments. Feel free to quiz your child at home—just be ready to be impressed (or confused)!
¡Vamos por 100!
Let me introduce you to our newest member of staff, Sue StJohn.
Sue joined our reliever pool in Term 2 and after 3 weeks of having her on campus, it was evident she is someone we would love to have on a more consistent basis.
Sue is a qualified Maths teacher with many years experience at a range of secondary levels. Joining the Maths department at OSG, we are excited about the impact she will have, not only on our local team, but the academic success of all students Regionally.
You will find Sue on campus Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for Term 3, please join me in welcoming her.
We’re thrilled to share that after two years of planning, preparation, and persistence, the Alice House has officially been lifted!

Student Driver / Rider Policy
PURPOSE
It is expected that students will normally travel to and from school using school provided transport, or where
this is not available, in private vehicles under the supervision of a responsible adult. However, this policy
aims to clarify what measures must be implemented for the safe transportation of students if the Campus
Management decides to permit the riding of bicycles, e-scooters and e-skateboards, or for students to drive,
or be driven by a student, to or from the Campus.
