This year OSG has moved to a globally standardised Persona Program as the centrepiece of feedback and development for all staff as a High Performing Team.
Each year, the Persona annual cycle will begin at the same time for every OSG staff member, when parents, selected students and colleagues will complete questionnaires to share feedback about staff members’ demonstrated actions and behaviours. This feedback informs staff’s individual development goals covering strengths and areas for growth, that they will focus on for the coming year.
In early May 2025, parents and secondary students will receive an email with information about the program, and a link to the short questionnaire(s) that they will be asked to complete by 31 May.
Parents, your feedback is very important to us, and your support will be much appreciated. You and your children are the key recipients of the Campus Principal’s and Educators’ work, and are best positioned to help them understand their strengths and opportunities for growth!
If any support or assistance is required please contact Jayde Lodge or Kaytlin Walters.
Our senior students wrapped up the term in the best possible way with an unforgettable excursion to Whakatāne’s breathtaking Ngā Tapuwae o Toi walk. Lucky with beautiful weather, the group explored the coastal trails, taking in panoramic views, and lush native bush. We stopped for lunch at the beach where students explored the sea life in the rock pools. Spirits were high as students connected with nature and each other, making memories that will last a lifetime. A perfect day to celebrate a successful term!

Every morning this term our Year 3 and 4 literacy group will meet Miss Di to work on their goals to improve on their reading, writing, and spelling. They are continuing working through our structured literacy programme that we have introduced. Next week most children from Year 3 and 4 will be bringing home decodable sheets with stories relating to the lessons for that day. We are asking parents if they could read these sheets with their child, this will help support them with their learning and also reinforce what they have learnt in the classroom.

Student Driver / Rider Policy
PURPOSE
It is expected that students will normally travel to and from school using school provided transport, or where
this is not available, in private vehicles under the supervision of a responsible adult. However, this policy
aims to clarify what measures must be implemented for the safe transportation of students if the Campus
Management decides to permit the riding of bicycles, e-scooters and e-skateboards, or for students to drive,
or be driven by a student, to or from the Campus.
