UPDATE FROM THE SECONDARY
We are deep into our NCEA journey for 2025 and it has not been all smooth sailing. We can see above that our Goal Tracking percentage is sitting at 66%. This means that only 66% of the standards sat so far by our Year 11 to 13 students have achieved at the goal set by each student at the beginning of the year. On the left, the graph shows us an overview of the goals set by students in each of their standards. As a year 11 - 13 cohort, students have set 92% of their credits at Merit or higher. The graph below that shows are actual percentages to date - sitting at 56%. Our focus is now moving all students out of Not Achieved (N) and Achieved (A) grades, currently 44% of our total credits to date. To do this, we need to focus on our specific feedback provided by teachers on checkpoints, book tutorials to obtain individualised support and pay close attention to the Assessment Criteria while sitting in the right zone to support our needs at any given time. I am confident we can make a change to lift our achievement and with the support of our engaged SLT and student body, we will achieve our goals of 100% pass rate, 100% Merit/Excellence endorsement and 100% Year 13 University Entrance.
