UPDATE FROM THE SECONDARY
Year 9 Science Investigation – Exploring Our Local Stream
Our Year 9 students recently took their learning outdoors with an exciting science investigation on the health of a local stream. Equipped with testing kits, they measured pH levels, temperature, and water current while also observing the surrounding plant and animal life. A highlight of the day was using Mrs. Hall’s high-powered microscope to examine their findings up close! It was fantastic to see students engaging in real-world environmental science, applying their skills in a hands-on, meaningful way. Well done to all involved! ???
Over the past few weeks, we have been heading to Awapuni Stadium for athletics practice. The students have been improving their techniques in running, jumping, and throwing. Their hard work and determination have led to impressive progress, with great improvements in their times and distances. It has been amazing to see their continued positive attitude when practicing their skills and striving to achieving their best performances. We’re excited to see them showing off their skills at Athletics Day this week!
