UPDATE FROM PRIMARY
The class has just completed a mini cross-curricular assignment titled “About Me”, showcasing our Maths, Writing, Art and Typing/IT skills.
We wrote about some of our personal favourites, focusing on different sentence starters and conjunctions, as well as putting a vowel in every syllable of each word we wrote.
Also, we used our Geometry skills to draw a symmetrical self-portrait and design a creative block letter for the first letter of our names.
Publishing our writing with no spelling or typing errors was the hardest part of our learning – a real workout of our proofreading skills which had many of us in the Learning Pit!
Teamwork in action! Year 5-6 and Year 3-4 joined forces for CCA this week, taking on fun challenges that tested our communication and collaboration skills. From hoop races to building the longest paper chain, we learned that planning and teamwork make all the difference!"
While teamwork has very much been our focus these past weeks, we also saw moments of independent innovation! Here’s Taylor Crisp with his creative attempt to break a world record with his paper plane—proving that thinking outside the box and problem solving is just as important as collaboration!
